Gisou Propolis Infused Polishing Primer Review
For today’s review, I want to talk about the Gisou Propolis Infused Polishing Primer. It’s a lightweight primer infused with propolis that acts as a foundation to prepare hair for styling. Given my positive experiences with other Gisou hair products, I had high hopes for this one. Fortunately, it didn’t let me down, and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you.
Inside the formula you’ll find Mirsalehi Propolis, rich in oils, vitamins, minerals, and flavonoids, crucial for hair health. It also contains sweet almond oil, argan oil, honey, wheat protein, panthenol (provitamin B5), emollients, and anti-static agents, complemented by polymers to aid in hair styling and detangling.
The Gisou Propolis Infused Polishing Primer has a light, gel-like texture. It’s perfect for my fine hair since it doesn’t weigh it down, nor does it make my hair feel greasy, stiff, or dry.
This product is designed for use on either wet or dry hair. However, I use it solely on dry hair, as it seems more effective than on damp strands. It does a great job in controlling frizz, adds noticeable volume, and gives my hair a more polished look while maintaining the style, though it doesn’t provide a particularly strong hold. Also, I haven’t noticed the decreased drying time that the product claims to offer, but again, it was really helpful for styling.
Gisou Propolis Infused Polishing Primer has a very gentle, not overwhelming scent, which I find absolutely lovely. It brings to mind the Honey Infused Hair Oil, yet it differs slightly, being more powdery. This scent lingers in the hair for a while.
A little goes a long way with this product since you only need a pea-sized amount of primer, and it spreads very easily. So, I believe the tube will last forever. For me personally, the only downside I can mention is that it lacks a heat protectant.
Overall, I’m happy that I gave the Gisou Propolis Infused Polishing Primer a try, and I’m pleased with this product. It’s a very nice lightweight primer that delivers what it promises: diminishing frizz, enhancing volume, and providing smoothness without weighing down or drying my hair. Besides that, it has a light and very pleasant scent. Love it!
