Cult Beauty Tried And Trusted Edit 2023 Review

Cult Beauty Tried And Trusted Edit 2023 Review

For today’s review, I want to talk about Cult Beauty The Tried And Trusted Edit 2023. This edit features a total of seven products (worth £184), with four of them being full-size. As anticipated, the box sold out on the very day of its release. I’ve recently received mine and am ready to share my first impressions.

Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector

Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector (100ml worth £28.00) – a pre-shampoo hair treatment infused with patented Olaplex Bond Building technology, created to repair and strengthen hair. This product is a weekly essential for my blonde hair, and it absolutely loves the treatment. It’s my go-to product that makes my hair look healthier, leaving it soft and manageable. I’m a major Olaplex fan!

Larry King Haircare My Nanna’s Mousse

Larry King Haircare My Nanna’s Mousse (150ml worth £22.00) –  a mousse that has been created to prep hair for blow drying. It helps hair to appear fuller, with a plumping and thickening effect. I put the mousse on damp hair around my crown. The mousse spreads nicely without being sticky or heavy. Then, I blow dry it. Afterward, my hair looks voluminous, bouncy, and shiny. It gives good volume, though not the strongest hold.

Clé de Peau Beauté Correcting Cream Veil

Clé de Peau Beauté Correcting Cream Veil (37ml worth £55.00) – a multi-benefit makeup primer with SPF that smooths imperfections and primes skin for a long-lasting foundation finish. This cream is quite light and provides minimal coverage. It gives a subtle glow to the skin and has a delightful scent. However, it may not be suitable for everyone due to its slight white cast

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel (Pack of 3) – fast-acting two-step AHA/BHA peel pads that combine five acids and 12 antioxidants to enhance radiance, smooth fine lines, refine pores, and improve tone and texture. It has been a staple of my skincare for years, and I love it. It makes my skin smooth and radiant, controls blemishes and dark spots, and makes my pores look visibly smaller.

Sol de Janerio Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (75ml worth £21.00) – a fast-absorbing body cream with a smoothing formula that adds a hint of shimmer to the skin. This is definitely isn’t the most nourishing body cream I’ve used, but it’s a nice body cream. And honestly, I’m not a big fan of its scent.

Saie Dew Blush

Saie Dew Blush in ‘Spicy’ (worth £20.00) – a hydrating gel blush with a creamy, blendable formula that gives skin a healthy flush of seamless colour. This liquid blush is wonderful! The texture is so creamy and blends out really nicely. You don’t need much of it as a little goes a long way. However, I’m not sure the shade suits my skin tone well; it appears too dark for me. Nevertheless, I love the formula so much that I’m already considering getting it in several other shades, like Peachy and Rosy, which look great.

Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA+AHA Salicylic Serum

Glow Recipe Strawberry Smooth BHA+AHA Salicylic Serum (30ml worth £37.97) – a powerful yet soothing AHA and BHA acid serum that gently smooths, addresses the appearance of breakouts, and helps clear blemish-prone skin, and visibly refines pores for clear, hydrated skin. I love this serum, its light texture absorbs quickly into my skin without any stickiness. I’ve noticed my skin feels smoother and looks better when I use it regularly. It also seems to help with oil control and pore health.
