Cult Beauty The Summer Lovers Goody Bag 2024 Review
Here is my quick review of the Cult Beauty The Summer Lovers Goody Bag 2024. This Goody Bag features 13 beauty products worth over £290. Below, I’ll showcase its contents along with my purchases.
Herlum Copa Dew All-Over Nourishing Oil (14ml worth £18.00) – a lightweight nourishing oil with notes of white tea and cedarwood. The formula is enriched with Amazonian copaiba oil, British blackcurrant oil, olive squalane, cold-pressed rosehip oil and buriti oils. I enjoy using this oil. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft, and it smells absolutely lovely.
111SKIN Rose Gold Radiance Face Mask (single mask worth £22) – a soothing and brightening hydrogel face mask. The formula is enriched with allantoin, panthenol, trehalose, niacinamide, adenosine, hyaluronic acid, algae extract, rose extract, centella asiatica extract, licorice extract, hydrolysed collagen, silk amino acids, and acetyl hexapeptide-8. It works great, leaving my face depuffed, hydrated, and glowing. The masks from the brand deliver great results, but they are not cheap, so I’m always happy to find them in beauty boxes and goody bags.
Kopari Beauty Ultra Restore Body Butter (30ml) – a whipped body butter with a vanilla scent. This formula includes coconut oil, squalane, mango seed butter, sunflower seed oil, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, birch extract, cactus extract, and prickly pear flower extract. It absorbs well, leaving my skin soft and hydrated.
Sweed Lash Serum (2ml worth £38) – an eyelash growth serum designed to make lashes look longer, darker, stronger and thicker. It features biotin, hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed keratin, panthenol, peptide complex, and pumpkin seed oil. I love using lash serums, so I’m looking forward to trying it.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Mascara (1.5ml) – a mascara that provides lashes with instant volume, length, and lift. However, it’s not my favourite as the formula feels too dry for my preference. While it applies well initially, within a few hours, it crumbles and flakes onto my lids and under my eyes.
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel (pack of 3) – a two-step AHA/BHA peel pad with 5 acids and 12 antioxidants that restore radiance, reduce fine lines, refine pores, and improve uneven tone and texture. It gently exfoliates my skin, leaving it smooth and radiant, helps control blemishes and dark spots, and clears the pores.
Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Serum (30ml worth £45.00) – a lightweight hydrating serum formulated with hyaluronic acid. I’ve enjoyed using this product before, and I’m happy to receive it. This is a great serum, it absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling plump and well-hydrated.
MALIN+GOETZ SPF 30 Sunscreen High Protection (5ml) – a mineral sunscreen that brightens and hydrates the skin. The formula includes shea butter, niacinamide, glycogen, hyaluronic acid, and ursolic acid. Initially, it felt nice on the skin, but it left a white cast and a slightly tacky finish when worn alone. I wouldn’t buy the full size, as there are better sunscreens out there.
ELEMIS Superfood Glow Primer (20ml worth £15) – an illuminating moisturiser that can be used as a hydrating makeup primer. The formula contains a blend of kombucha and fermented ginger to brighten the skin and illuminating micro-minerals to add radiance. It’s a nice product, but I found it too glowy for my daily look.
Rituel de Fille Colour Nectar Pigment Balm in Bee Sting (2.2g worth £15.00) – a multi-purpose pigment for the lips, cheeks, and eyes. I prefer to use it as a lip product. It has a lovely jelly-like texture and beautiful colour, but unfortunately, it wears off quickly.
Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil (15ml worth £34.00) – a radiance-enhancing face oil. It combines vitamin C (THD ascorbate), turmeric extract, raspberry seed oil, jojoba oil, cranberry oil, pomegranate oil, cucumber oil, evening primrose seed oil, moringa oil, and blackcurrant oil. It feels a bit too heavy for my combination skin in summer, so I save it for colder months.
Amika Soul Food Nourishing Hair Mask (30ml) – an ultra-rich, hydrating hair mask infused with jojoba oil, sea buckthorn oil, and panthenol. It has a lovely scent and makes my fine hair smooth and soft without weighing it down.
MUTHA Up All Night Eye Cream (15ml worth £75.00) – a brightening eye cream featuring sunflower seed oil, camellia seed oil, shea butter, rosehip oil, squalane, hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, niacinamide, panthenol, rice bran extract, licorice extract, calendula extract, yeast protein, kefiran, coffee extract, and pearl powder. I’m keen to test this product and see the results.
And a showcase of my purchases that I made alongside a Goody Bag:
- Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint – a sheer, buildable blush and lip stain in Burst. I already have this product in the shade Spritz and absolutely adore it.
- K18 Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask – a leave-in treatment mask that works on the molecular level to reverse hair damage in just 4 minutes.
- Shiseido Kajal InkArtist – a handy 4-in-1 eye pencil in Tea House 01.
- Dr Dennis Gross Skincare DRx Blemish Solutions Breakout Clearing Gel – a fast-acting gel with 2% salicylic acid, niacinamide, and monk’s pepper to unclog pores, visibly clear and prevent blemishes, and reduce the appearance of redness. This product has been my go-to in my skincare routine for years.
- Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Triple Correction Eye Serum – an eye serum formulated with retinol, rambutan, bakuchiol and ferulic acid.
