Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo Review
In this review, I’m sharing my experience with the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo. This non-aerosol dry shampoo is designed to absorb excess oil and extend the time between washes, while supporting a healthy scalp.
The formula contains a blend of clay, a tapioca and rice starch complex, corn starch, sodium bicarbonate, charcoal powder, and witch hazel extract to absorb excess oil, refresh the scalp, and neutralise odour. Additionally, a blend of hyaluronic acid and biotin helps prevent over-drying and condition the scalp, while bamboo stem extract soothes the scalp.
Honestly, the packaging of the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo isn’t great. The push pump makes application messy, so I found it easier to dispense the product into my hand first and then apply it to my hair. Otherwise, a lot of the product ended up in the air or on my clothes.
On the other hand, the formula is pretty decent. I have medium-length, fine hair with an oily, sensitive scalp, and my roots usually start to feel greasy the next day after washing. I liked how it added gentle volume to my hair, leaving it looking natural and healthy. It never left any white residue and didn’t make my hair feel sticky. It also didn’t irritate my sensitive scalp.
The scent of the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo is very subtle but quite nice. It features notes of whipped cream, warm vanilla, and fresh mint.
To sum it up, the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo is a good product, and I’ve enjoyed using it. The packaging, though, really takes away from the overall experience.
