Beauty of Joseon Hydra Shield Body Sunscreen Review
In today’s post, I’m reviewing the Beauty of Joseon Hydra Shield Body Sunscreen, which accompanied me on my recent beach holiday. Here’s how it held up.
The formula contains modern, photostable UV filters including diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (also known as Uvinul A Plus, which protects against UVA rays), ethylhexyl triazone (also known as Uvinul T 150, which provides one of the highest levels of photostable UVB protection available), methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol (Tinosorb M, which provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection), and drometrizole trisiloxane (also known as Mexoryl XL, which provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection).
Additionally, a blend of emollients and humectants, including glycerin and lactobacillus/rice ferment, helps retain moisture, soften the skin, and improve spreadability. Film-forming ingredients help create a uniform, durable sunscreen film, enhancing SPF performance and water resistance. Ceramide NP, xyloglucan, and lactobacillus/rice ferment also help support the skin barrier and soothe the skin.
The Beauty of Joseon Hydra Shield Body Sunscreen has a lightweight, lotion-like texture that spreads easily and absorbs quickly without leaving a white cast. It doesn’t leave any sticky or greasy residue, and after a couple of minutes, it feels completely weightless on the skin.
I used it throughout my holiday, and it worked really well. As someone with very fair skin who burns easily, I was pleased to find that it provides excellent protection. I didn’t burn at all, even after spending plenty of time in the sun.
Overall, I really enjoyed using the Beauty of Joseon Hydra Shield Body Sunscreen, and I’m definitely adding it to my repurchase list.
