Abib Heartleaf Sun Essence SPF50 Review
In today’s post, I’m taking a quick look at another Korean sunscreen I decided to try: the Abib Heartleaf Sun Essence SPF 50. Let’s see how it performs.

The formula contains a blend of diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (also known as Uvinul A Plus, which protects the skin against UVA rays), bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine (also known as Tinosorb S, which provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection), methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol (also known as Tinosorb M, which offers broad-spectrum protection), ethylhexyl triazone (also known as Uvinul T 150, which provides one of the highest levels of photostable UVB absorption), diethylhexyl butamido triazone (also known as Uvasorb HEB, which protects against UVB and UVA II rays), and polysilicone-15 (also known as Parsol SLX, which helps protect the skin against UVB rays).
Additionally, it contains a blend of niacinamide, panthenol, adenosine, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, and houttuynia cordata extract to help soothe the skin, while glycerin, panthenol, niacinamide, aspergillus ferment, and wheat seed extract help maintain hydration and soften the skin. The formula also contains alcohol as a solvent (high in the list), which gives a lighter feel, helps the product dry faster, and helps create an even protective layer.

The Abib Heartleaf Sun Essence SPF 50 has a lightweight, milky, serum-like consistency that absorbs quickly without leaving a white cast. It’s not sticky or greasy, and it doesn’t dry out my skin. It never pills under makeup and doesn’t sting my eyes. The finish looks natural, not too dewy and not too matte. Additionally, it has a barely noticeable floral scent that fades shortly after application.

It applies beautifully on my combination skin. The formula is quite runny and blends like a dream. It goes on smoothly over makeup and feels really comfortable to wear. It also doesn’t cause breakouts or irritate my skin. The only thing I’m not sure about is whether it would feel hydrating enough for drier skin types.

I’ve enjoyed using the Abib Heartleaf Sun Essence SPF50, and I’m adding it to my repurchase list. It’s a great sunscreen that checks all the boxes for me.
